Enxhi Shima is a former professional ballet dancer and certified ballet pedagogue, trained in the Vaganova method at the National Ballet School of Albania. At the age of 18, she became the first Albanian ballerina to perform with the Russian State Ballet and the Bolshoi Theatre. After her international performing career, Enxhi continued her path in dance education, earning both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Dance Pedagogy from the University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim. She teaches classical ballet technique and ballet theory at an academic level, combining her artistic background with a deep understanding of movement, body awareness, and pedagogy. In 2025, she became a licensed Silver Swans teacher through the Royal Academy of Dance in London. Through this program, she works privately with adults aged 55+, offering gentle ballet-based movement that supports healthy ageing, mobility, balance, coordination, and confidence in a safe and empowering way.
Alongside her academic and pedagogical work, Enxhi created Ballet by Gigi a refined movement concept designed exclusively for adults professional and non-professional movers. Through this concept, she brings together the elegance of ballet, the precision of professional training, and a deeply personal approach to adult movement. Her work helps each woman build strength, improve posture, move with grace, and feel more connected to their body.
